Zipper Door & Hanging Straps
Want easy access? Add a zippered door to your PVC curtain — it makes things much more convenient. The door can be narrow or span the entire width of the opening — it's up to you. Need it right at the edge or slightly offset? No problem — just tell us where you want it. We can place the zipper anywhere on the clear PVC curtain, even if it's just a single one.
The zipper comes in black or white, matched to your chosen edge color for a clean, unified look. When the door is not in use, simply roll it up from the bottom and secure it with the included hanging straps.
Flexible Door Placement
You decide where the door goes: at the left edge, right edge, or anywhere in between. The door width is also up to you — it can be a narrow passage (80–100 cm is typical for comfortable entry) or span the entire curtain width. You can also add a single zipper without a full door panel: set door width to 0 in the calculator, and you'll get one vertical zipper that you can unzip and step through the opening. This option is useful when you just need occasional access rather than a wide doorway.
Ordering and Bottom Edge
Add a door directly in the calculator when configuring your PVC curtain. Specify the door width and its distance from the left edge — our system handles the rest. Important: curtains with a zipper door require a weighted bottom edge instead of fixed bottom fasteners. The weight bar slides into a sewn pocket along the bottom, keeping the curtain taut while allowing the door section to open freely.
Hanging Straps
Rolled Pikkuna is attached along the top edge with hanging straps — one strap for each meter of width you plan to roll. For sections under one meter wide, use two straps to secure both edges. If you don't plan to roll up your Pikkuna, straps aren't needed.
How Hanging Straps Work
Each strap loops around the rolled curtain and fastens to a turn button mounted above the curtain's top edge. When you want to roll up your Pikkuna, start from the bottom and roll upward, then wrap the straps around the rolled bundle and secure them to the turn buttons. This keeps the rolled curtain neatly suspended and prevents it from unrolling in the wind. Space the turn buttons approximately 1 meter apart for a sturdy, even suspension.
What's Included
Free hanging straps are included only for the door section when you order Pikkuna with a zipper door — one strap per meter of door width. For rolling up other sections of your curtain (or if you order without a door), straps can be purchased separately. Standard strap length is 700 mm, which suits most installations. Custom lengths can be made to order if your setup requires longer or shorter straps.
When You Need Extra Straps
Consider ordering additional straps if you want to roll up the entire curtain width (not just the door section), if your opening is wider than the door, or if you have multiple Pikkuna curtains. Having spare straps on hand is also useful — they occasionally wear over time and are inexpensive to replace.
